Stephen "Da Brayne" Sherrard

I'm the owner of DBAR Productions & MusicTECH in the greater Seattle area, and the producer & webmaster behind the LoopLibrary.com and NetMusicLibrary.com web sites. I also produce the very popular, & highly reviewed, Performance Loops series of loop and sample products distributed by Big Fish Audio.

I've been a full time professional recording engineer and music producer for over 14 years now, working for several years on staff at one of the largest professional studio facilities in the Seattle area, Triad Studios, while building up my own production company and studio on the side. I've been playing around with recording since the early 80's, and am also a multi-instrumentalist myself, playing music since the third grade. I come from a very strong musical background, with a very talented musician and small businessman for a father, but I'm also a bit of a technology geek and studied computer and electrical engineering in college.

I was an above average musician, but it was the combination of the technology side of things with the strong love of music that lead me into the recording and production side of things.

As a bit of a computer geek, I enjoy running these web sites on the side, which allow me to give back to the musical community from which I'm extremely fortunate to be able to make a living. I'm not trying to compete with the big boys with these sites, and I'm lucky when I make enough money from the sites to cover the monthly expenses. But, I have fun running the sites and helping other talented produers and composers get their loops, samples, sound effects, and production music out to the public and earn some extra money at the same time.

On the musical side of things, I have a very broad background, and enjoy listening to a wide variety of music. So, my own production music and loops and samples will cover a broad range. I also enjoy working with top notch studio musicians, as well as talented artists and bands, which makes all the difference when trying to create great sounding loops and samples, or production music.
